I'm so glad to meet you.
Years ago, I looked to others to show me how I was supposed to be, and I'd shape-shift to fit that mold: small, people-pleasing, and emotionally suppressed. I was afraid that if I showed the real me, I'd end up ostracized or alone.
Through an immense amount of personal and professional growth, I've broken free from those binds and learned to honor the sensitive, dynamic way I'm wired. I began a journey of trauma healing while also learning how to embrace my finely-tuned nervous system. I owned my struggles and strengths and have found meaning in supporting others doing the same.
People who wish their intuition carried more weight, who feel so deeply that their emotions threaten to swallow them, have found a safe place with me. People who wish they felt more grounded and less thrown by their surroundings have found liberation and true alignment.
Through our work together, I delight in watching people slough off the weight of self-judgment and move into an easier way of being, one that holds a stronger connection to their inner knowing as well as to something greater. For more than 15 years, it's been a joy to witness people of depth who once kept themselves in a box feel the support they need to flourish.
As I started seeing myself with clearer eyes, everything started to change.
When I learned I was a Highly Sensitive Person, it was a game changer. The overwhelm, sensory sensitivity, and deep empathy I'd always felt suddenly made sense. The ways I'd judged myself started to shift through the lens of neurodivergence.
It's the connection, safety, and perceptiveness that make therapy with me powerful. Our work starts with deeply understanding you and your unique story. Through somatic, intuitive, and relational methods, I help you move internal and external stuckness to create freedom that wasn't there before.
And as for the official stuff, I earned my M.A. in Marriage & Family Therapy from The University of San Diego and my B.A. from UC Santa Cruz. I have advanced training in many trauma healing and empowerment-focused modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), PACT, AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy and am Internal Family Systems informed.
In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and two dogs (one of whom spent years joining me in therapy sessions), traveling, reading, and being creative.
I've gotten to watch, over and over, how sensitive people who get the right support flourish.
"Brooke's unique skill set has helped me redefine what being an HSP means, from what used to feel like a burden into the intuitive gift of being a highly sensitive person who can claim her voice."
