When I learned that I was a Highly Sensitive Person 20 years ago, it was a game changer. It transformed how I saw myself and the way I looked at my life-long struggles of over-thinking and soaking up the emotions of others. It also gave me a chance to appreciate my unique strengths.
Through a decade of supporting dynamic, finely-tuned people, I've noticed a theme: HSPs tend to suffer from over-thinking, worry, empathy-overload, and overwhelm. And they often don't know where to get the type of support they need to live well with this trait.
My collaborative and strength-based approach helps HSPs discover the gifts that lie hidden in what they thought were the worst parts of themselves.
My specialty is helping Highly Sensitive People move out of overwhelm and into a powerful calm.
With over a decade of expertise in trauma healing, I create a warm and relaxed environment in which people feel accepted and heard.
I earned my M.A. in Marriage & Family Therapy from The University of San Diego and my B.A. in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz and have advanced training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).
I'm passionate about this work and feel privileged to play a part in people's transformations.
I've gotten to watch, over and over, how HSPs who get the right support blossom into empowered, radiant, and self-trusting people.
